As a member of the DragonRiders of Pern fan club Fort Weyr, I have a tendency to do more than my share of Pernese style dragons. They always seem to come out looking different each time I draw them. This little guy is fairly compact, and perhaps not quite young-looking enough. I'd say this is a weyrling dragon, trying to remember back to the day when he had to find the person who would be his lifetime partner...HIS rider. |

This was created in Prismacolor pencils on matboard. Acid-free matboard is a wonderful art surface, and it's a great use for all those scraps left over after you cut the mats for your other artwork!
